This set is superbly well constructed and will delight product design fetishists everywhere. The individual elements are all beautifully balanced and have an attractive matte finish. The tweezers and all three scissor variants are ergonomically designed; they function extremely well and are likely to continue doing so for many years to come as the Ringlock mechanism will ensure they do not go out of alignment. The colour coding is useful but will not necessarily prevent my partner from using 'my' scissors - or me from using 'his' tweezers. Since I got this item, it's been proudly displayed on the bathroom window sill as I enjoy looking at it it's so perfect. However, as we have a very small bathroom and space is at a premium I think at some point soon we may need to put the stand away and just use the scissors. Don't be deterred on this basis from buying with confidence - our bathroom is unusually tiny and an average sized bathroom would accommodate this set easily. One observation that may be relevant should you be considering this item as a gift - the packaging looks quite cheap and gives no clue as to the very high quality of the items contained within.Another aspect you may be considering - is the stand magnetic both sides and will it take other items we have already like toe nail clippers? The answer is yes and yes - so this is a good way to put all such similar items together neatly, tidily - AND stylishly! Think about it - how many inferior sets of scissors and tweezers might you buy over a few decades and how much would it cost? How great it is to buy an item that doesn't contain the free extra of built-in obsolescence and that will stay looking good for ever?
